KC and the Sunshine Band es una banda聽estadounidense formada en 1973 en聽Miami, que se especializ贸 en la聽m煤sica disco,聽Funk,R&B,聽Pop-Rock y聽Dance. La banda fue formada por聽Richard Finch y el vocalista y l铆der聽Harry Wayne Casey.

El propio Harry transform贸 su apellido “Casey” en聽: “K C“, y聽“Sunshine Band” viene de聽Sunshine State (Florida). Entre sus canciones m谩s conocidas destacan聽“That’s the way (I like it)”,聽“Shake your booty”,聽“Get Down Tonight”,“I’m Your Boogie Man”,聽“Please Don’t Go” y“Give It Up”

Fue celebrada su presencia en el聽Festival de la Canci贸n de Vi帽a del Mar 1981, por sus melod铆as bailables de la 茅poca. En verano de聽2009 se presentaron en este mismo escenario, uno de los m谩s conocidos en Latinoam茅rica donde causaron furor con su presentaci贸n.
